DICLOHELP-SP

1. Composition

• Diclofenac Potassium 50 mg
• Paracetamol 325 mg
• Serratiopeptidase 10 mg

2. Description

DICLOHELP-SP is a combination of analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and enzymatic anti-inflammatory agent.

• Diclofenac Potassium: Reduces pain and inflammation (NSAID)
• Paracetamol: Provides analgesic and antipyretic effect
• Serratiopeptidase: A proteolytic enzyme that helps reduce swelling, inflammation, and edema, and promotes faster healing

This combination is particularly effective in pain with swelling and inflammation.

3. Uses

Commonly used in:

• Post-operative pain and swelling
• Dental pain and inflammation
• Trauma and injury (sprains, fractures, swelling)
• Orthopedic conditions
• ENT conditions (sinusitis, throat inflammation)
• Arthritis with swelling
• Soft tissue injuries

4. Side Effects

Common:

• Nausea, vomiting
• Stomach pain, indigestion
• Diarrhea
• Loss of appetite

Less common:

• Skin rash or allergic reaction
• Dizziness

Serious (rare):

• Gastric ulcer or bleeding
• Liver or kidney problems
• Increased bleeding tendency (due to Serratiopeptidase)

5. Precautions

• Take after food (except serratiopeptidase is sometimes advised before food—follow doctor’s advice)
• Avoid in patients with:
  • Peptic ulcer or GI bleeding
  • Severe liver or kidney disease
• Use cautiously in:
  • Patients on blood thinners (risk of bleeding)
  • Elderly patients
• Avoid alcohol consumption
• Do not exceed recommended dose
• Not advisable during pregnancy and breastfeeding without medical advice
• Avoid combining with other NSAIDs or paracetamol products
