Metagil-GM1

Composition: Glimepiride 1 mg + Metformin 500 mg (Sustained Release)

Metagil GM1 is a dual-therapy anti-diabetic tablet combining Glimepiride 1 mg and Metformin SR 500 mg. This formulation offers effective control of Type 2 Diabetes by enhancing insulin secretion (Glimepiride) and reducing liver glucose output while improving insulin sensitivity (Metformin). The sustained-release form ensures smoother sugar control throughout the day with fewer gastric side effects. Metagil GM1 is ideal for patients not adequately controlled on Metformin alone.

Uses:

• Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

• Controls fasting and post-meal sugar

• Helps reduce HbA1c levels

• Suitable as combination therapy

Side Effects:

• Hypoglycemia

• Dizziness, sweating

• Stomach upset or diarrhea

• Weight gain (mild)

• Rare: lactic acidosis

• Take before or with meals

• Do not skip meals to avoid low sugar

• Not recommended in severe kidney or liver issues
