CLOPIRIN AP-150

COMPOSITION - Clopidogrel 150 mg + Aspirin 150 mg Tablets

DESCRPITION- CLOPIRIN AP-150 is a high-strength dual antiplatelet therapy indicated for prevention of ischemic events and myocardial infarction. Clopidogrel irreversibly inhibits the P2Y12 ADP receptor on platelets, preventing platelet activation and aggregation. Aspirin inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1), reducing thromboxane A2 formation and platelet aggregation. Together, they significantly reduce thrombus formation in coronary arteries and help prevent recurrent cardiac events.

USES

• Prevention of myocardial infarction (heart attack)

• Management of ischemic heart disease

• Acute coronary syndrome (ACS)

• Post-angioplasty and post-stent placement

• Prevention of atherothrombotic events

 Side Effects 

• Gastric irritation or acidity

• Increased bleeding tendency

• Easy bruising

• Nosebleeds

• Gastrointestinal bleeding (rare but serious)

Precautions / Other Important Details 

• Avoid in patients with active bleeding or bleeding disorders

• Use cautiously in history of peptic ulcer disease

• Monitor for unusual bleeding or black stools

• Inform doctor before surgery or dental procedures

• Use with caution in liver impairment
