Composition: Dapagliflozin 5 mg
Dafazin-5 is an SGLT2 (Sodium-Glucose Co-Transporter 2) inhibitor used for the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It reduces blood sugar levels by preventing the kidneys from reabsorbing glucose and instead promotes its excretion through urine. This mechanism helps lower fasting as well as post-meal blood glucose levels. Dapagliflozin 5 mg is often prescribed when lifestyle changes and first-line medications like metformin are not sufficient. It also offers added clinical advantages, including weight reduction, mild blood pressure control, and cardiovascular and kidney protective benefits.
