Product Description

KETOYES-30 contains Ketorolac Tromethamine, a potent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for the short-term management of moderate to severe acute pain. It provides analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects and is commonly used when oral administration is not feasible.


Mechanism of Action (MOA)

Ketorolac works by:

  • Inhibiting Cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes
  • Reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins
  • Decreasing pain, inflammation, and fever

This results in rapid pain relief without the use of opioid medications.

  • Acute trauma-related pain
  • Renal colic
  • Dental pain
  • Cancer-related pain (adjunct therapy)

Dosage & Administration

Route:

  • Intramuscular (IM)
  • Intravenous (IV)

Dosage should be administered strictly under medical supervision.

Maximum treatment duration: Generally not more than 5 days.


Contraindications

Do not use in patients with:

  • Hypersensitivity to Ketorolac or NSAIDs
  • Active peptic ulcer disease
  • Gastrointestinal bleeding
  • Severe renal impairment
  • History of aspirin-induced asthma
  • Bleeding disorders
  • During labor and delivery
  • Concomitant use with other NSAIDs

Precautions

  • Use cautiously in elderly patients
  • Monitor renal function during therapy
  • Avoid prolonged use
  • Maintain adequate hydration
  • Use with caution in cardiovascular disease
  • Monitor for signs of GI bleeding
