Metagil-GV1

Composition: Glimepiride 1 mg + Voglibose 0.2 mg + Metformin 500 mg SR

Metagil GV1 is a triple anti-diabetic combination containing Glimepiride, Voglibose, and Metformin. This powerful formulation targets diabetes through three mechanisms: increasing insulin secretion (Glimepiride), reducing carbohydrate absorption from the intestine (Voglibose), and lowering liver glucose production while improving insulin sensitivity (Metformin). It offers excellent both-meal and fasting sugar control and is commonly prescribed in patients whose sugars are not managed with dual therapy.

Uses:

• Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

• Strong control of fasting and post-meal sugars

• Reduction of HbA1c levels

• Helpful for patients with high postprandial sugar spikes

Side Effects:

• Hypoglycemia

• Gas, bloating, stomach discomfort (common with Voglibose)

• Diarrhea or nausea

• Dizziness or mild weight gain

• Rare: lactic acidosis

Other Details:

• Should be taken just before meals

• Avoid skipping meals

• Not recommended in severe kidney or liver impairment

• Controls both PPBS and FBS effectively
