Almod-AT

Composition: Amlodipine 5 mg + Atenolol 50 mg

Almod-AT is a combination antihypertensive medication used for the effective management of high blood pressure (hypertension) and related cardiovascular conditions.
This combination brings together two different classes of medicines:

• Amlodipine – a calcium channel blocker that relaxes and widens the blood vessels, improving blood flow.

• Atenolol – a beta-blocker that lowers heart rate, reduces the heart’s workload, and helps in controlling blood pressure more effectively.

Together, they help maintain controlled blood pressure, reduce strain on the heart, and decrease the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other complications associated with long-term hypertension. Side Effects

Precautions

• Inform your doctor if you have asthma, COPD, diabetes, thyroid disorders, heart block, or liver problems

• Atenolol may mask symptoms of low blood sugar—diabetic patients should monitor glucose regularly

• Avoid alcohol as it may increase dizziness

• Do not stop the medicine suddenly, especially Atenolol, as it may worsen heart conditions
