Composition: Dapagliflozin 10 mg
DAFAZIN-10 belongs to the class of SGLT2 (Sodium-Glucose Co-Transporter 2) inhibitors, a modern class of oral anti-diabetic medicines used primarily in the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It works by blocking glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, causing excess glucose to be excreted through urine, thereby lowering blood sugar levels effectively. Dapagliflozin not only helps in achieving better glycemic control but is also known for additional clinical benefits such as reduced body weight, decreased blood pressure, and improved cardiovascular and renal outcomes in high-risk patients. It can be used alone or in combination with other anti-diabetic drugs such as metformin, DPP-4 inhibitors, sulfonylureas, or insulin depending on patient needs. Other Details:

• Not recommended for Type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis

• Patients should maintain adequate hydration

• Kidney function should be monitored before and during treatment
