Composition:  Aceclofenac 100 mg + Thiocolchicoside 4 mg)


DESCRIPTION

Aceclofenac + Thiocolchicoside is a combination medicine used for the treatment of painful muscle spasms and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal conditions.

It combines:

  • Aceclofenac: A Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) that reduces pain and swelling.
  • Thiocolchicoside: A muscle relaxant that helps relieve muscle stiffness and spasms.

MECHANISM OF ACTION (MOA)

Aceclofenac

  • Inhibits Cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 & COX-2)
  • Reduces production of prostaglandins responsible for:
    • Pain
    • Inflammation
    • Swelling

Result: Provides analgesic and anti-inflammatory action.

Thiocolchicoside

  • Acts on GABA and glycine receptors in the central nervous system
  • Reduces abnormal muscle contraction and stiffness
  • Produces muscle relaxation without significant weakness

Result: Improves mobility and reduces painful muscle spasms.

Rare:

PRECAUTIONS

⚠ Take preferably after food to reduce gastric irritation.

Avoid:
