Formalin Solution is an aqueous solution of Formaldehyde (usually 37–40% w/v) stabilized with a small amount of methanol to prevent polymerization. It is a powerful disinfectant, preservative, and fixative widely used in medical, laboratory, and industrial applications.

It is typically available in 500 ml, 1 litre, and bulk packs for institutional and laboratory use.
