Description

Ascokp Injection contains Iron Sucrose, used for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia, especially when oral iron therapy is ineffective or not tolerated. It helps replenish iron stores and improves hemoglobin levels.

Uses

• Iron deficiency anemia
• Chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients
• Patients on dialysis
• Post-surgery or blood loss anemia
• When oral iron is not suitable

Dosage (General)

• Administered intravenously (IV) only
• Given under medical supervision
• Dose depends on hemoglobin levels and iron deficiency

Side Effects

• Nausea
• Headache
• Injection site reactions
• Hypotension (low BP)
• Dizziness
• Rare: allergic reactions

Precautions

• Test dose may be required before full dose
• Monitor for allergic reactions
• Use cautiously in liver disorders
• Avoid self-administration
• Only for IV use (not IM)
