- Azithromycin – 500 mg
2. Description
AZEYES-500 contains Azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections.
It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, stopping the growth of bacteria.
3. Uses
- Respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia)
- ENT infections (tonsillitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis)
- Skin and soft tissue infections
- Certain sexually transmitted infections
- Typhoid fever
4. Side Effects
- Nausea, vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Abdominal pain
- Headache
- Rare: QT prolongation (heart rhythm issue)
5. Precautions
- Use cautiously in liver disorders
- Avoid in patients with history of heart rhythm problems
- Complete full prescribed course
- Take preferably before or after food as advised
- Avoid unnecessary antibiotic use to prevent resistance
