COMPOSITION - Ondansetron Orally Disintegrating Tablets IP 4 mg

DESCRIPTION - ONDEXA contains Ondansetron, a selective 5-HT3 (serotonin) receptor antagonist. It works by blocking serotonin receptors in the gastrointestinal tract and central nervous system, preventing the vomiting reflex. This effectively controls nausea and vomiting associated with various medical conditions. The orally disintegrating formulation allows rapid onset of action without the need for water.

• Nausea and vomiting

• Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting

• Postoperative nausea and vomiting

• Radiation-induced nausea

• Gastroenteritis-related vomiting

Side Effects 

• Headache

• Constipation

• Dizziness

• Fatigue

• QT prolongation (rare)

Precautions / Other Important Details

• Use cautiously in patients with cardiac arrhythmias

• Avoid in patients with known QT prolongation

• Monitor in patients with electrolyte imbalance

• Use cautiously in liver impairment

• Allow tablet to dissolve on tongue without chewing
