Product Description

Razoplus-DSR is a combination anti-ulcer and prokinetic medicine used for the effective management of acid-related gastrointestinal disorders. It combines Rabeprazole, a Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI), which reduces stomach acid production, with Domperidone SR, which enhances gastric motility and relieves nausea, vomiting, bloating, and gastric discomfort.

This combination provides long-lasting relief from acidity while improving gastric emptying and reducing reflux symptoms.

Composition

• Rabeprazole Sodium IP (Enteric Coated) equivalent to Rabeprazole 20 mg
• Domperidone IP (Sustained Release) 30 mg

Mechanism of Action (MOA)

Rabeprazole

• Irreversibly inhibits the H+/K+ ATPase (Proton Pump) in gastric parietal cells.
• Suppresses both basal and stimulated gastric acid secretion.
• Promotes healing of gastric and duodenal ulcers.

Domperidone

• Peripheral D2 dopamine receptor antagonist.
• Increases lower esophageal sphincter tone.
• Accelerates gastric emptying.
• Improves gastrointestinal motility.
• Controls nausea and vomiting.

Uses / Indications

Razoplus-DSR is indicated for:

• Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
• Hyperacidity
• Acid reflux
• Gastritis
• Gastric ulcer
• Duodenal ulcer
• Functional dyspepsia
• Heartburn
• Nausea associated with gastric disorders
• Bloating
• Indigestion
• Gastric fullness
• Prevention of NSAID-induced gastric ulcers (when prescribed)

Dosage

• Vitamin B12 deficiency (long-term therapy)
• Low magnesium levels
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding (only if prescribed)

Avoid alcohol and smoking, as they may worsen acidity.

Contraindications

Do not use in patients with:

• Allergy to Rabeprazole or Domperidone
• Gastrointestinal bleeding
• Mechanical intestinal obstruction
• Perforation of the stomach or intestine
• Severe liver disease
• Known prolonged QT interval
• Concurrent use of medicines that significantly prolong QT interval unless advised by a physician

Drug Interactions

Use cautiously with:

• Ketoconazole
• Itraconazole
• Digoxin
• Warfarin
• Atazanavir
• Methotrexate (high dose)
• Clarithromycin
• Erythromycin
• Fluoroquinolone antibiotics
• Amiodarone
• Other QT-prolonging medicines

• Keep out of reach of children.
