Dextrose Injection 5% (commonly called 5D or D5) is a sterile, non-pyrogenic intravenous solution containing 5% w/v Dextrose (Glucose) in Water for Injection.

It provides fluids and a source of calories (carbohydrates) to the body. It is isotonic in nature and widely used in hospitals for hydration and energy supplementation.
