Description

Kelclin-300 contains Clindamycin, a lincosamide antibiotic effective against anaerobic bacteria and certain gram-positive organisms. It is commonly used in infections where penicillin is not suitable or resistance is present.

Uses

• Skin and soft tissue infections (acne, abscess)
• Dental infections
• Bone and joint infections
• Respiratory tract infections
• Gynecological infections
• Intra-abdominal infections

Dosage (General)

• As prescribed by physician
• Usually taken 2–3 times daily
• Take with a full glass of water

Side Effects

• Nausea, vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Abdominal pain
• Metallic taste
• Rare: severe colitis (Clostridium difficile-associated)

Precautions

• Complete full antibiotic course
• Do not lie down immediately after taking
• Use cautiously in gastrointestinal disorders
• Inform doctor if history of colitis
• Not for viral infections
