Description:
Kelnip-10 Tablets contain Cilnidipine, a calcium channel blocker used in the management of hypertension (high blood pressure). It acts on both L-type and N-type calcium channels, providing effective blood pressure control while also reducing sympathetic nerve activity. This dual action helps in better cardiovascular protection and reduces stress on the heart.
Mechanism of Action:
Cilnidipine blocks L-type calcium channels in vascular smooth muscles, leading to vasodilation and reduced blood pressure. It also inhibits N-type calcium channels, decreasing sympathetic nerve activity and reducing heart rate and peripheral resistance.
