Metronidazole Gel IP 2% (METASMITH) is a topical antibacterial and antiprotozoal preparation containing Metronidazole 2% w/w. It is primarily used for the treatment of bacterial skin infections, rosacea, infected wounds, and certain inflammatory skin conditions.

Metronidazole works by inhibiting nucleic acid synthesis in susceptible microorganisms, thereby stopping their growth. The gel formulation allows smooth application and better penetration into affected areas.

How It Works
