• Torsemide IP 20 mg

📖 Description

Torsemide is a loop diuretic used to eliminate excess fluid from the body. It increases urine output and helps reduce swelling and fluid buildup associated with cardiac, renal, or hepatic conditions.

• Edema due to:
  • Congestive heart failure
  • Chronic kidney disease
  • Liver cirrhosis
• Hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Pulmonary edema (fluid in lungs)

⚠️ Side Effects

Common:

• Frequent urination
• Dizziness
• Headache
• Weakness

Serious:

• Electrolyte imbalance (low potassium/sodium)
• Dehydration
• Low blood pressure
• Muscle cramps

• Monitor electrolytes (Na⁺, K⁺) regularly
• Use cautiously in:
  • Kidney or liver disorders
  • Diabetic patients
